On Monday, we proudly launched our first Sheltered Housing Scheme digital skills pilot workshop at Hanshaw Drive, in collaboration with Barnet Age Friendly, Barnet Homes, and BOOST. The workshop was a huge success, allowing us to connect with residents and understand their digital needs.
We also distributed refurbished devices to those without access, courtesy of 2econd Chance, our device refurbishment partner, which not only helps bridge the digital divide but also contributes to environmental sustainability.
Our dedicated Barnet Digital Champions played a crucial role in the workshop, assisting residents with their tablets and mobile phones.
We were delighted to have Councillor Rishikesh Chakraborty, Barnet’s Digital Champion, Councillor Gill Sargeant, Age Friendly Barnet Champion, and Isobel Aptaker, 2econd Chance join us. They observed the session and met with residents and our fantastic volunteer digital champions.
