Barnet Homes’ staff wore red on Friday 9 June to support the British Hear Foundation’s Wear It.Beat It campaign.
We know that heart disease affects people across gender, age and even fitness levels.Wear it. Beat it is all about raising the funds for the British Heart Foundation, a charity devoted to vital research, which contributes to fighting heart disease.
£100 was raised for British Heart Foundation from the proceedings of the dress-down Friday.
Red is a very strong colour with equally strong associations attached to it – one of them is it represents energy and primal life forces – which totally brings to mind a healthy, red beating heart.
