Fly-tipping on various estates has been increasing across the borough and although Barnet Homes’ neighbourhood Bulk Refuse teams have been working hard to deal with these issues, there is also a big cost attached for the removal.
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste which can vary in scale significantly, from a bin bag of rubbish to larger quantities of waste dumped from trucks.
Types of fly-tipping can sometimes be building works that have been dumped from renovation works being done on private homes on estates, but some can also come from drive-by fly-tippers.
Rubbish dumping is an issue and can range from a small bag being dumped on the estate to a resident doing a house clearance ready for the sales. All collections are rechargeable so you could help us to keep costs down by reporting any incidents you witness to your Neighbourhood Officer via 0800 389 5225.
If you witness fly tipping on the highway please contact LBB Customer Care on 0208 359 4600.
