Residents from some of Barnet Homes’ sheltered housing schemes had a ‘Wear a Woolly Hat Day’ this week to raise money for homeless charity St Mungo’s.

Wearing their orange knitted hats with pride, Barnet Homes’ staff and residents from Vale Court, Drummond House and Prospect Place managed to raise over £200.00 for St Mungo’s.

The homeless charity’s mission is to house, support and care for vulnerable and excluded people who either have been or at risk of sleeping rough and homelessness.

Our group of residents enjoyed the task of knitting the orange hats so much that they have started a knitting circle to make items to raise money for other charities in the future!
