We understand that many of our housing applicants need a permanent home but are struggling to find affordable accommodation in London. If you are considering moving outside of London, Homefinder UK may be a great option for you to consider.

Homefinder is a national move-on service which offers social housing, wheelchair accessible properties, retirement properties and some private sector accommodation for those in need. Since 2013, the scheme has helped more than 1,000 households to move into permanent social housing across the country.

Using Home Swapper for a mutual exchange

Are you looking to move to a different area in the UK? If you are a secure or flexible council tenant or an assured housing association tenant, you may be eligible to swap your home through the Mutual Exchange Scheme. You can register for free on homeswapper.co.uk and find a property you would like to swap with.

A Mutual Exchange may also be a good option for you if you are looking for more space or for a property that better meets your accessibility needs.
