Gardening isn’t just about planting seeds and watching them grow – it’s about fostering connections and blossoming friendships. Our gardening clubs are full of enjoyment, where every member is welcomed with open arms.
With 27 clubs already registered in the borough, we are thrilled to see the growing enthusiasm for gardening and community involvement. But we haven’t stopped there…
A chance to showcase magnificent blooms
A recent addition is the community garden at Malins Close, High Barnet, where a group of residents wanted some help to start growing fruit and veg in their communal garden. We approached one of our Contractor and through their Social Value commitment, we were able to pull some funding together to finance this project. The contractors were able to tidy the garden, install some raised beds and fix damaged fencing.
Not only will this promote resident health and wellbeing, but it will also add economic and environmental benefits to this community. We’re looking forward to sampling their
produce!
