The Barnet Group’s major works contractor Quinn London recently delivered DIY workshops for Barnet Homes residents. Held in partnership with BOOST Barnet, training was given on essential tiling skills from our talented operatives. The event was lively, engaging, and a great environment to learn in.
A representative from Quinn London said, “In response to escalating living expenses, items like repairs and renovations often take a back seat. Therefore, Quinn London has delivered these workshops to empower residents by making DIY renovations more accessible. This initiative enables them to effectively maintain their homes and undertake minor DIY projects, fostering self-sufficiency and community resilience.
“Hosted at the Burnt Oak Library, the workshop drew residents from across the borough, thanks to the generous support of BOOST Barnet and the promotional activities by our client, Barnet Homes.
“As a company dedicated to collaborating with our clients and community to deliver social value, Quinn London is proud to have organized and sponsored this event. The overwhelmingly positive reception has already sparked discussions for future workshops, including potentially a painting workshop. ”
Our residents’ responses to these workshops were really positive, and there is already a waiting list for their next activity. Some feedback from two of the residents below:
“7 Stars! You guys have been brilliant with excellent instruction and such generous hospitality.”
“This has been a wonderful experience; it took the fear out of tiling.”
Thank you to Quinn London for providing these valuable workshops and to our colleagues at BOOST Employment Support for helping to facilitate them.
