We pledged our support for the National Gas Safety Week campaign (14-20 September) and want to take the opportunity to remind Barnet Homes’ residents how important it is to let us in to do gas safety checks in your home.
Let your landlord in!
Robert Heath Heating are currently doing gas safety checks in your area, they will all carry ID, so please let them in when they knock on your door.
Why is it so important to have a gas safety check?
Every year thousands of people across the UK are diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning. It is a highly poisonous gas. You can’t see it, taste it or smell it, but it can quickly result in breathing problems or worst still, fatalities.
Look out for your gas safety letters and posters in blocks
Robert Heath Heating will contact you by letter up to 42 days before your current gas safety certificate expires.
Your safety is of upmost importance to us, so we will also be contacting you by letter and phone to arrange a time for your gas safety check that’s convenient for you.
As your landlord we must by law, carry out a gas safety check within 12 months of the last certificate. If we can’t get access inside your home to do a gas safety check, it may lead to legal action and forced entry to ensure gas appliances are safe.
You can book your free gas safety check by calling our contractors, Robert Heath on 0333 014 1000. They offer two-hour time slots Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm. This means no waiting around at home all day for a gas engineer to arrive!
