Barnet Homes would like to put on record that it takes all allegations of domestic violence and threatening behaviour extremely seriously. We work actively with organisations on issues of domestic violence, including Solace Women’s Aid and Your Sanctuary. We liaise with MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) which brings together a team of multi-disciplinary professionals from partner agencies to deal with all safeguarding concerns where someone is concerned about the safety or well-being of a child.
Troy Henshall, Chief Executive of Barnet Homes, says: “We take a very strong position on allegations of domestic violence and threatening behaviour where our residents and people presenting as homeless are concerned. However, with the demand for affordable homes in Barnet being much greater than the number of properties available, it is essential that we are provided with the evidence in support of domestic violence claims so we can consider these as part of each individual’s case.”
