The Big Lunch is the UK’s annual gettogether for neighbours and communities, with millions of people coming together for a few hours for food, friendship, and fun. It connects people and encourages friendlier, safer communities where people start to share more – conversations, ideas, skills, resources and friendship.

This year, The Big Lunch will be taking place on 1-2 June. It can be anything from a small gathering in a garden or park, to a larger party that involves the whole street. Can’t organise a get together for this date? Not a problem! You can host a Lunch with your community at any point during the month of June as it’s the month to celebrate community. If you need funding to host your event, speak to us about applying from our Community Chest Fund.
