  1. Please provide the total number of social houses owned by your council.

  1. In the past 12 months how many formal complaints have your council received relating to mould and damp in your social housing stock?

 

We started recording damp and mould complaints separately from overall repairs complaints from December 2022 – the number we have recorded since then is 19.

 

 

  • Please also provide the number of formal complaints over the last three years.

 

Please confirm if this means formal complaints for all services or just for repairs and / or damp and mould.

 

  1. How many homes have you inspected where there was damp or mould present in the past 12 months.

We are not able to break down this figure from the data we have however we have taken the total number of properties that have had a work order raised against them that included the words ‘damp’, ‘mould’ and/or ‘condensation’. This data is a mix of individual properties and blocks. The total figure since July 2022 is 2,281.

There may be some duplication of these orders for damp, mould and condensation as the order may have been incorrectly allocated to a block or property and then re-raised correctly, or there were follow on works that required additional jobs to be added to more than one location.

  • Please also provide the number of houses over the last three years. 

 

The total number of homes under the same criteria as above is 3,409.

 

  1. How many of your council homes are estimated to have mould or damp issues at present? If an estimate is available how is this estimate arrived at?

We do not have an estimate, only actual reported case data.
