As Julius Caesar once said, “Experience is the teacher of all things.” Surely this can be applied to the contribution older people to our society?

With the over-65 population  in Barnet forecast to grow three times faster than the overall population between 2017 and 2032 – increasing engagement with older people has never been more vital.

A growing older population could also explain why national Silver Week (1 – 7 October), an awareness week by The Silver Line) celebrating the achievements of older people in our community, is growing higher in profile each year.

This will be the fourth week long, annual celebration of Silver Week in Barnet.

There is a whole range of events you can get involved with or go to – if you are interested please pop along! If you know an older relative or friend that would benefit from any of these social events, then please follow the link below.
