4 out of 5 of these former apprentices pictured are now working with Barnet Homes.
At the end of the week, a number of our former apprentices from 2016/17 are attending a National Apprenticeship Service Graduation Ceremony.
Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremonies are a celebration to recognise and reward the success of apprentices, across England. Focusing on Advanced and Higher apprentices, the Ceremonies
highlight the quality of Apprenticeships as well as the progression opportunities available to
former apprentices.
One of our former apprentices (pictured 2nd from right), Lisa Lang, will be attending the graduating ceremony. She was from last year’s cohort and now has a job working for the Neighbourhoods Team as a Housing Support Officer. Here’s what she said back then:
Lisa Lang, Neighbourhoods said: “Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Barnet Homes for giving me this opportunity as an apprentice. At first I found it hard as I’m a mum-of-5, I also have a child with additional needs. The further I get along on the apprenticeship the easier its getting. I love the team that I’m working with, they have a vast amount of knowledge between them all. I am able to draw on this and progress. The most important thing is that my confidence is growing on a daily basis. I’m learning, earning and my skills are increasing.
I am a resident with Barnet Homes and this opportunity has given me a new outlook on the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. How hard everyone works and how important everyone is to Barnet Homes.”
Well done to Lisa and all the graduate apprentices of 2016/17!
How are some of the apprentices from this year faring? You’ll have to keep checking our website to find out.
