All tenants who moved into Sweets Way were made aware that the site was being used for temporary accommodation before it was to be developed by the owners of the site Annington Property Limited, and that their tenancy would end in 2015. Barnet Homes, along with Annington and Notting Hill Housing who leased the properties from Annington, has been communicating with residents for many months about the lease coming to an end. We have worked with all the Sweets Way households who presented as homeless, following the end of their temporary housing tenancies with Notting Hill Housing in February, to find them suitable alternative accommodation.

We have been working closely with Mr Mostafa Aliverdipour over the past months to find him suitable alternative accommodation. Based on the medical evidence we have been provided, we were able to locate a newly refurbished three bedroom house on the borough border that fully meets Mr Aliverdipour and his household’s needs. He is still considering our offer of the property we are holding for him and we will be helping him to move once he accepts.

We can only offer a property based on the information and evidence we have received as part of an individual’s housing application. Therefore it is very important that we are provided with evidence of any special requirements if a person’s circumstances change so this can be considered as part of an individual’s case.

We have previously asked Mr Aliverdipour to supply further evidence in order for us to reassess the suitability of the property offered to him, and are still open to receiving this. We have also assured him that on receipt of additional evidence we will consider his request for further adaptations to the property currently being offered to him.
