We want to ensure residents involved in groups and associations have the necessary skills to represent their communities, and the best possible chance of finding long-term employment.
That’s why we have developed a comprehensive training programme for residents.
The training on offer takes many forms and includes:
• in-house and external training
• attending seminars and conferences
• accredited training which can lead to a nationally recognised qualification.

• residents' organisations and panels
• giving residents skills for future employment
• community training
• helping residents to get involved.
There are a number of things we can do to help you attend training courses, such as:
• providing transport for residents who cannot use public transport for any reason
• paying child minding expenses
• providing carers’ expenses.
