To pay your rent you will need your nine digit account number, shown on your statement of account.
Direct debit
The easiest and most convenient way to pay rent is to set up a direct debit. It will save you from having to wait in queues or having to remember to post payments on time.
You can choose to pay either on the 1st or the 15th of each month. We will notify you of any changes to payment amounts or dates.
To set up a direct debit, download our
direct debit form or
contact us.
Other ways to pay
Alternatively, you can pay
online. Please note there is a charge of 1.8% for credit card payments to cover the processing costs. There is no charge for debit cards.
There are also a range of
other ways to pay.
Your rent commitment
By signing your tenancy agreement you have given a commitment to pay your rent on time - every week, fortnight or month in advance.
As a thank you for paying rent, all residents who have clear rent accounts at the end of the financial year in March will be automatically entered into a free prize draw.
We offer support for residents who are finding it difficult to pay rent. If you are struggling to pay, please
contact us immediately. We may be able to make an agreement for you to pay back arrears.
If you fail to pay
If you do not contact us and fail to clear your arrears we will start legal action to gain possession of your home. This could damage your chances of being rehoused by the council and result in significant court costs.
Legal proceedings can be avoided by paying your arrears or making a repayment agreement with us.
