Other ways to pay 

 

By phone
, using credit or debit cards, on 0845 356 3456. You will need your nine digit rent account number to use this automated service, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Electron cards and American Express are not accepted by this service. There is a charge of 1.8% for credit card payments to cover the processing costs. There is no charge for debit cards.

Similarly your housing officer can take payments by phone and these will show on your account the following day. 

At the post office by cash or cheque using the rent payment card.

At shops with ‘paypoint’ outlets. Please phone us and we will send you a letter with a barcode on it that you take to a paypoint outlet with your cash payment (paypoint outlets only accept cash).

Bank/Building Society
. You can pay by cash or cheque using the payment voucher in your rent book. A fee may be charged at a branch where you do not have an account. Payments may take up to ten working days to reach your rent account.

By post
. All payments by crossed cheque and postal order must be made payable to ‘London Borough of Barnet’ and sent to:

Cashiers, Finance, 1 Floor Building 4, North London Busines Park, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP

Your address and nine digit account number must be written on the back of the cheque or postal order.

By standing order
from your bank or building society straight to your rent account. Contact our Call Centre for our bank details, which you will need to set this up along with your nine digit rent account number. 

By taking it from your salary or pension
if you are employed by or receive a pension from Barnet Homes or Barnet Council.
