We have two schemes that can help you take the first step towards owning your own home.
Cash incentive grant scheme
We can offer tenants money to help you buy a home on the open market. Your current home is then free to rent to another family.
You could receive up to £29,000 if you have:
• two or more bedrooms
• no rent arrears or other debts to Barnet Homes or Barnet Council
• a home in good condition
• evidence that, with some help, you could afford to buy a home.

Shared ownership
Shared ownership allows you to buy a share (usually half or more) of a property and pay rent for the share that you do not own.
You can buy more shares whenever you want to.
