On Saturday 18 April, eight staff members from Barnet Homes completed the Big Barnet Sleep Out at Barnet Football Club, The Hive, to raise money for Homeless Action in Barnet (HAB) – and they managed to raise more than £1000.00!

The idea behind the sleep out was to raise awareness and insight into the vulnerability and of the people who find themselves having to sleep rough. HAB work with vulnerable people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to enable them to take control of their lives, gain access to housing and other services in order to achieve dignity, and help them to maintain their tenancy. They aim to promote independence and to empower individuals.

With amazing support from other staff at Barnet Homes who organised a bake sale, a dress down day, and sponsored their colleagues taking part in the sleep-out, they have raised over £1700 for HAB in total.
