As a leaseholder, you are responsible for gas appliances in your home. Remember, gas leaks can kill.
Please ensure:
• Your gas appliances are properly maintained
• You have a gas safety check each year
• You always use a reputable Gas Safe registered engineer
You may also consider installing a carbon monoxide detector.
Gas appliances include:
• gas boilers and central heating
• gas fires
• gas cookers.
If you sublet your property
By law you must ensure that gas appliances receive a gas safey check once a year. Regular servicing is also advisable.
Sub-tenants should ensure that they ask for a copy of the gas safety certificate (CP12) when the last annual check took place.
