Our replacement of the communal aerials will give you the benefits of digital TV, along with the option of receiving further services through an integrated reception service.
Digital TV
Digital TV offers new ways to enjoy your TV service, including:
• greater choice of TV channels
• new features such as on-screen listings, interactivity, audio description and subtitling for people with visual and audio impairments
• optional additional channels and services including premium channels (e.g movies, sports), broadband and telephone services.
Integrated reception system
An integrated reception system (IRS) offers access to a wider range of TV and radio services than a digital aerial.
It will provide access to:
• analogue terrestrial signals (from now until such time as these signals are no longer broadcast).
• digital television (so long as you have a digital TV or set top converter)
• Sky Plus satellite (if you have entered into a service agreement with Sky). If you already have satellite TV we will reconnect your Sky box to the new communal television system and then remove your old dish.
• Freesat (if you have a Freesat box).
• services broadcast on the Hot Bird satellite (if you have the necessary set-top box and, for some services, entered into a contract with the service provider).
• FM Radio Signals (where available).
• DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) signals (where available).
