Troubleshooting tips 

 


I can't receive any TV services (digital or analogue)

  • Check that the cables are firmly pushed into the wall plate socket labelled TV and firmly pushed into the socket on the television set.

I can’t receive digital television

  • If you are using a Freeview box, make sure that this is switched on both at the wall socket and via the power switch on the remote control
  • Make sure that the cable between the face plate and Freeview box is connected at both ends and the plugs firmly in the sockets
  • Make sure the SCART lead between the Freeview box and the television is plugged in at both ends and the plugs are secure
  • If your Freeview box is linked to the television via other equipment (such as a video/DVD recorder) ensure this equipment is plugged in and switched on.

I've got a picture on the television but no sound

  • If you have a Freeview box make sure the SCART lead is firmly connected to the Freeview box and the television socket.
  • Make sure the TV volume is turned up and the TV has not been muted

I've got sound but no picture

  • If you have a Freeview box, make sure the SCART lead is firmly connected to the Freeview box and the television sockets

I can only receive some of the channels I normally get

  • If you are watching digital television you may need to retune your set top box or television, please consult the manual supplied for further information as to how to do this.

I can't receive Sky services

  • Please check that the cables connecting the receiver to the face plate are securely connected and that all SCART leads are secure at both ends.
