Barnet Homes

Digital switchover

Setting mast for digital TV

Barnet Homes is carrying out a project to ensure that all residents using communal aerials can continue to watch television after 2012.

This is when the digital switchover will take place in London, as part of a national programme. You can find out more about this here.

There are around 6,000 homes managed by Barnet Homes which currently receive their TV through a communal aerial.

An integrated reception system (IRS) has already been installed for around 1,000 of these homes as part of major works programmes. Similar systems will be installed at all other properties starting from September 2010.

You can find more details here about this work here, along with details of charges for tenants and leaseholders to cover the costs.
