Connecting your system

The engineer will connect your home to the new digital aerial system as part of the installation work.

You may need to change or check the connections if you buy any additional equipment or if anything goes wrong.

Visual guides

You can find illustrations here on how the connections should look, depending on which system you are using.

Socket connections

Connections are to a face plate in your living room. You should connect equipment to the sockets as follows:

Sat1 – connect your Sky TV box to this socket.

Sat2 – if you have a Sky+ box, connect the second cable from the Sky+ receiver to this socket.

Alternatively, you can connect a Hotbird receiver to this socket.

If you have two standard Sky receivers (not Sky+) you can connect the second Sky receiver to this socket.

TV – connect your television or Freeview box to this socket with the cable provided by the engineer.

FM/DAB – you can use this socket if you have a radio which can be connected to an external aerial. This may provide you with better reception than the aerial supplied with the product.
