Alongside the wider Resident Involvement plans, we have a trained group of residents who carry out regular inspections to monitor and assess the quality of work carried out by our contractors through the Decent Homes programme, repairs service and estate works. Resident forums are carried out following completion of Decent Homes work to seek views and improve services.

There is also a high level Asset Management Investment Panel made up of representatives from Barnet Council, a Board Member, residents (one leaseholder and three tenants), and Barnet Homes staff.

The group decides:

• What – the scope of work
• When – Development of a logical and integrated programme and sequence of work
• Where – Precise location of dwellings or related assets affected by intended programme of work
• Why – robust business case of expenditure on particular programmes of work
• How – suitable and best
