Our Lifeline staff have been trained by the London Fire Brigade to carry out Home Fire Safety Checks for people living in the borough of Barnet who are vulnerable, elderly or  have physical or sensory disabilities.  Smoke detectors, supplied by the London Fire Brigade , and with a 10-year battery life, will be installed free of charge.

The Lifeline Centre is also working on a scheme to fit 235 radio smoke detectors to operate in conjunction with Lifeline units. The radio smoke detector will send an automatic alert to the Lifeline Centre when it detects smoke.
