To pay housing, garage and former tenant rent you will need your nine digit account number. This is shown on your statement of account.
Paying your rent
You can pay your rent in any of the following ways:

By direct debit from your bank or building society on the 1st or 15th of the month.

By standing order from your bank or building society straight to your rent account. Normally payments will be on the 1st of the month for the month to come so that your rent account is never in arrears.

By taking it from your salary or pension if you are employed by or receive a pension from Barnet Homes or Barnet Council.

On our website www.barnethomes.org at any time using credit or debit cards. You will need your 9 digit rent account number to use this service. Electron cards and American Express are not accepted by this service. There is a charge of 1.8% for credit card payments to cover the processing costs. There is no charge for debit cards.

By phone, using credit or debit cards, on 0845 356 3456 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You will need your nine digit rent account number to use this service. At the post office by cash or cheque using the rent payment card.

At shops with ‘paypoint’ outlets. Please phone us and we will send you a letter with a barcode on it that you take to a paypoint outlet with your cash payment (paypoint outlets only accept cash).

Opening times for cash and card payments are Monday to Friday 9am – 4.30pm. Cheque and online payments can be made throughout the library opening times of 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday with late night opening being 8pm on Thursdays.

Bank/Building Society. You can pay by cash or cheque using the payment voucher in your rent book. A fee may be charged at a branch where you do not have an account. Payments may take up to ten working days to reach your rent account.
All payments by crossed cheque and postal order must be made payable to ‘London Borough of Barnet’ and sent to:
Revenues, London Borough of Barnet, PO Box 1617, London, NW4 4BJ. Your address and nine digit account number must be written on the back of the cheque or postal order.
