We find that more and more families and individuals are having to use food banks due to the financial crisis. Julian Sanz and Amber Perrier on behalf of Mullay, one of our major works contractors, generously donated £500 to the Childs Hill Food Bank at All Saints Church to pay for Christmas dinner parcels for the regular clients of the food bank. These parcels had all of the ingredients required to make a delicious festive roast. They also donated a Christmas tree to the church/foodbank. Mullaley have also donated 30 Hats, Scarves and gloves packages for refugee children to Barnet Refuge Service/ New Citizen Gateway, and made a donation of toiletries to Finchley Food Bank. Thank you to the team at Mullaley!
Julian Sanz, Head Of Social Value said, “Giving back is at the heart of Mulalley’s ethos. We believe that supporting the local community and it’s residents is as important as the works we are doing to people’s homes. The festive period can be especially hard for those who are less fortunate, which is why it’s nice to be able to support several organisations that do such amazing work supporting some of Barnet’s most vulnerable residents.”
Andrew Potter, Childs Hill Food Bank said, “We made up 96 bags with the lovely donations we received this year, everyone from single people to big families that signed up for a Christmas hamper collected a bag from the church today, (21st December). Bags included chocolate, cakes, essential items for cooking a Christmas dinner with extras. Thank you again Mullalley for their generous contribution, it certainly made a huge difference to a lot of peoples Christmas.”
