Dear Mr Phibbs,
Thank you for your request dated 23 August 2023; we have treated this as a Freedom of Information request.
You have asked for the following information; please see our responses in blue:
- How many incidents of anti-social behaviour were reported in 2022/23 where council tenants were the alleged perpetrators? Please advise both by number of incidents and by number of households accused of being responsible for at least one incident.
There were 48 cases of anti-social behaviour incidents for the year April 2022 to March 2023. Of this figure, the number of these cases where the perpetrator was a council tenant were 26 and the number of households responsible were who were council tenants related to 29 households.
- How many of the above incidents resulted in any penalty being imposed?
7 notices served, 3 closure orders (1 of which was a partial closure order)
- How many of the above incidents resulted in any warning being issued?
7 -warning letters before notices
- How many evictions for anti-social behaviour took place from 2022/23?
Zero evictions took place as restrictions took place on social landlords during COVID for court hearings but these restrictions are no longer in place so we would expect to see some evictions for ASB going forward.
