It’s November, which means it is the third and final month of the national ‘Bin it for Good’ tidy up project which Barnet Homes has been supporting, on the Grahame Park Estate.
Taking over from the older people’s group, Grahame Park Independent Living, for the month of November, the Stonegrove Estates Youth Project supports young people on the Grahame Park Estate by providing activities and events.
Jim Ball, Stonegrove Estates Youth Project Manager, says: “Stonegrove Estates Youth Project members are delighted to support the ‘cleaner concourse’ campaign and very happy to be award recipients, as it will help with their wish to purchase some new I.T equipment for the youth project, so please pick up your litter for cleaner walk ways and a good cause!”
The youth project now has a month to encourage their fellow residents to reduce littering in the area – as the amount of rubbish collected in this month relates to the amount of money going to the charity.
Look out for the branded Bin it for Good litter and recycling bins all over Grahame Park estate – which lets residents know as well as keeping their local area clean, they are raising money for local charities which invest in local communities.
We’ll soon be publicising how the three local charities have done during the three month ‘Bin it for Good’ campaign and how much its cut littering on the Grahame Park Estate – more news on this coming soon!
