On Monday 15 June a fire broke out in one of the flats on the second floor of Pymmes Brook House.

Two residents were injured, but there were no fatalities or serious injuries.

The fire was caused by an accident originating with a flammable item being placed to near a heat source, the London Fire Brigade has confirmed. For a copy of the full report contact the London Fire Brigade.

A smoke alarm was fitted in the property and most certainly prevented the fire spreading and becoming more serious.
